2008. FRED KIMBALL, Camporee Chief, with the theme of "Aquatic Environments", enabled the Scouts to learn
more about the water enviornments that both surround and make up the everglades and rivers of Florida. The attendance was the highest
in several years. The weather was beautiful with warm temperatures and no rain. Geocaching was added as a new event. A scavenger
hunt led participants to clues for next year's camporee, the 50th anniversary. The pool was opened for swim races and a snorkel
walk activity helped determine the participants for the snorkel walk held on stage at the arena show. The show concluded with a
spectacular fireworks show.
